Meet the team, starting with me

I'm Chris. I've been running broadcasts for 17 years.

I started Creative Broadcast Agency in 2008 because I wanted to build the production tools I always wished I had when I was a TD, a producer, an engineer.

Most agencies chase the next platform. We build infrastructure. When you work with CBA, you're not hiring a vendor. You're borrowing the team that would have built your broadcast anyway, if you had 17 years and a MCR in Dubai.

How we got here

Seventeen years. Three continents. Hundreds of events.

My first live broadcast was a regional news show where the vision mixer caught fire 90 seconds before we went to air. The producer threw a bucket of sand over it and we cut to a still frame for 40 minutes. That was 2008. I learned two things that day: every live event has a failure mode you haven't thought of, and the only thing that saves you is the depth of the team around you.

CBA was built to be that team. We stream events where losing signal is not an option. We stand up hybrid productions for COP28, IRENA, Web Summit, the Esports World Cup, Qatar Economic Forum. We run MCRs out of Dubai that feed 198 countries. And we don't just stream your event: we hand you the audience data the morning after, ranked by engagement, so your sales team actually has somewhere to call.

We're based in Dubai, but the work has taken us across the GCC and into Europe and Asia. Most of our team has satellite broadcast experience or TV newsroom backgrounds. We build our own tools when the off-the-shelf ones don't hold up. The difference is noticeable on event day.

The crew

It's not just me.

CBA runs on a team of broadcast engineers, camera operators, audio engineers, vision mixers, replay operators, and graphics operators. Most have been doing this longer than I've had a company.
