Live clipping at 1 Billion Followers Summit.
How we delivered real-time social clipping at the 1 Billion Followers Summit, turning live moments into shareable content within minutes.
Celebrity speakers, global audience, clips needed live.
The 1 Billion Followers Summit brings celebrity speakers, top-tier influencers, and creator-economy talent to Dubai. The audience is global, young, and mobile-first. The event organiser needed production that matched the broadcast standard and a clip pipeline that published viral-candidate moments during the show, not after it.
CBA delivered the broadcast production plus a real-time clip pipeline feeding Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X.
Broadcast production, clip pipeline, co-located.
Multi-camera coverage. Main stage broadcast with 8-12 camera positions, hero operators on celebrity arrivals, director cutting at entertainment-broadcast pacing. Audience reaction, crowd cameras, speaker isolation.
Clip tagging in real time. Production assistant in the control room tagging moments as they happened. Tag triggers sent to the clip pipeline with in-point and out-point timecodes.
Dual-format cut. Each tagged moment cut into horizontal 16:9 (YouTube), vertical 9:16 (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), and square 1:1 (X, LinkedIn) in parallel. Captions burned in for silent-play platforms.
Same-minute publishing. Auto-publish to all platforms within 90 seconds of tagging. Social team reviewed captions only, not clip timing. Publishing cadence matched the event pace.
Engagement data capture. Per-clip engagement tracked and fed back to the event team in real time. Clips that were performing got promoted; clips underperforming were replaced.
Millions reached, during the event, not after.
Clip engagement metrics during the Summit exceeded post-event industry averages by a significant margin. Same-moment publishing turned the broadcast into a content engine while it was still running. The organiser team re-engaged CBA for subsequent influencer-economy events on the basis of this delivery.
The operational pattern from the Summit now runs as a standard component of any CBA broadcast where the audience is mobile-first and social distribution is part of the commercial brief.
Questions we get from buyers before they book
How fast can clips publish during a live event?
90 seconds from tag to live on the platform. Faster is possible for pre-approved clip types with no caption review step.
Do we need a dedicated social team?
Yes, but a smaller one than you might expect. CBA handles the production and publishing pipeline. Social team reviews captions and replies to audience engagement. Typically 1-2 people instead of a floor of 8.
Can this work for our brand event?
Depends on audience. Works best for consumer-facing events where social distribution is a commercial goal. Less value for regulated corporate events where social is not the primary audience.
